Daca avantajele sunt mai mari fata de dezavantaje si daca are un efect negativ sau unul pozitiv asupra modului in care functioneaza motorul dupa ce acest procedeu a fost efectuat. EGR se poate anula simplu prin blocarea traseului sau sunt acele kit-uri de anulare facute special pentru fiecare motor in parte insa el trebuie anulat si din unitatea centrala a masinii ECU.
